The Pittsburg Department has confirmed one person has died in a Wednesday night shooting in the City of Pittsburg.
At 9:41 pm, officers responded to the 1000 block of Power Avenue for the report of a shooting that just occurred. Officers arrived on scene and found a male subject had been shot. Officers provided medical aid, but unfortunately the victim succumbed to his injuries on scene.
The investigations unit has been notified and is currently following up with potential leads. Due to the active investigation, we are unable to provide any additional information at this time. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Pittsburg Police Tip Line at 925-252-4040.
