Walnut Creek Police Arrest Residential Burglary Suspect

A Stockton man is in custody following an arrest Walnut Creek Police made on March 25, 2023 in response to a burglary call.

According to police, shortly before 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Police were called regarding a residential burglary in progress on Crescent Drive, involving a male suspect wearing a mask and gloves.

The witness saw the suspect, later identified as Isaiah Taylor, climb over the victim’s fence and into the backyard. After a short period, Taylor exited the backyard and left the area in a blue Chevy sedan.

Responding officers arrived within minutes and located the blue Chevy parked on Carriage Drive. WCPD K9 Officer Chelsea Douglass and her K9 partner Timber contacted Taylor, who was in the driver’s seat of the Chevy. After a thorough investigation, officers determined that Taylor was the suspect who climbed over the victim’s fence and attempted to enter the residence. When Officer Douglas searched Taylor’s car, she found a loaded firearm on the front driver’s seat.

Officers arrested Taylor for attempted residential burglary, possession of a loaded firearm, and possession of burglary tools.

Taylor was transported to the county jail in Martinez on $50,000 bail.
