The California Highway Patrol is investigating a vehicle vs. pedestrian fatality on Highway 4 in Brentwood Thursday morning.
At approximately 3:52 am at eastbound Highway 4 and Lone Tree onramp, CHP received a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian.
According to the CHP Log, it was reported CONFIRE was staging after an ex-husband of the female came after the boyfriend with a hatched, tried to move out of the way and got hit by a car.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased by 4:38 am.
No other information was available.
CHP UPDATE: Vehicle vs. pedestrian Fatality on SR-4 near Brentwood
This morning (3/30/23) at about 3:32am, Contra Costa CHP was advised of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on SR-4 eastbound on the Lone Tree Way on-ramp. At the time of the crash, a pedestrian was within the roadway of the on-ramp. A Toyota Camry traveling on the on-ramp was unable to avoid the pedestrian and struck them. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene and the driver of the Toyota was not injured.
This crash is still under investigation. If you have additional information you believe would assist in the investigation.

Well, who doesn’t drive around with a hatchet readily available?
My heart goes out to the girls family and friends. Also feel sad for the one who was driving cause they will always remember what happened,my prayers go out to the people involved
