Antioch Jr. Giants Spots Filling Up Fast

The City of Antioch Recreation Department announced that registration for the Jr. Giants Summer League went live this past Monday.

According to the city, three days into the registration period and the league is already at 60% capacity. If you plan on your child participating this summer, they are recommending registering now to ensure their spot in the league. They expect some divisions to be 100% full by next week.

Free Girls Softball Clinic

Girls softball is growing in communities around the country. In the summer of 2022, the San Francisco Giants offered a girls-only softball division as part of their Jr. Giants Program for the first time ever. In 2023, the Jr. Giants are expanding their softball program to now include a Girls Softball T-ball division for 5-6 year olds.

To promote the sport of softball, get girls active and to spread the word regarding the upcoming Jr. Giants season; The City of Antioch is partnering with the San Francisco Giants to offer a free softball clinic for girls on Sunday, April 23rd. Pre-registration is required.

This introductory clinic for youth includes skill and drill stations and more information on Jr. Giants Program.
