On Wednesday, the Antioch Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 2200 block of San Jose Drive in the City of Antioch.
The shooting occurred just before 6:50 am in the Mira Vista Hills Apartment Complex when a shooting occurred in an upstairs apartment. The bullet from an upstairs apartment then went through the floor and into the downstairs unit. The occupant of the downstairs unit was not struck by the bullet.
According to preliminary information, the upstairs apartment was supposed to be vacant, however, someone was squatting in the apartment–its not known for how long. When police made entry, they located blood and evidence that a shooting occurred. There was no victim located and were reaching out to local hospitals.
No other information was released including number of gunshots fired, however, it appears management of the apartment complex allegedly quit this week according to sources on scene and several residents.
This is now the 9th shooting in the City of Antioch since last Thursday, which includes a fatal shooting Monday evening.

Lamar are you putting a lid on the news of the shootings? Haven’t seen or heard of anything on the local news which are their when you want to hold a B.S. news conference. When a city has nine different shootings you would think this is big news.
I’ve been thinking the exact same thing. King Lamar doesn’t see the need to drag his podium around town denouncing the rampant crime in his city because if he can’t personally cry victim, he couldn’t care less.
Antioch is a criminals paradise.
