Brentwood Cherry U-Pick Season Quickly Approaching

With heavy rains and cooler weather this spring, its delayed the Brentwood U-Pick season by several weeks, however, several farms are open this weekend and strawberries are now in season.

On Mothers Day weekend, be sure to check out local wineries who have several events this weekend.

Here is a rundown of farm and their opening dates for cherry u-pick and strawberry u-pick according to Harvest Time in Brentwood:

Cherry U-Pick (Opening Day Dates)

  • 5 Star Cherries- Enos Family: Projected opening is May 20
  • Airaya U-Pick Farm: We expect to Open for U-Pick in mid-May. We will have Apricots, White and Yellow Peaches as well as White Nectarines when we open in a couple of weeks.
  • Bacchini’s Fruit Tree – May 2023 timeline
  • Bell Ranch – no info
  • Canciamilla Ranch – May 2023 timeline
  • Chavez Cherries – May 17
  • Cherry Blossom – May 20 – June 17
  • Cherry Time – Opening Day is May 17
  • Dejesus Ranch – Late May to Early June

  • Dwelley Family Farms (Organic) – Spring 2023

  • Farmer’s Daughter Produce and U-Pick Farm:  Farm stand & picnic area will be opening for the 2023 season on Saturday, May 27th from 9am to 6pm

Strawberry U-Pick

Berry Best Family Farm (7450 Balfour Rd, Brentwood CA)

  • They are now open Monday-Sunday (fruit-stand) from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm for pre-picked strawberries only. However, they are not open for u-pick this Saturday or Sunday).

Three Nunns Farm (550 Walnut Blvd, Brentwood CA)

  • They will be closed Saturday (May 13) and announced they will be open Sunday (May 14) from 9:00 am until picked out.

Creswell Family Farms (3001 Point of Timber Rd, Brentwood CA)

  • They will be open Saturday beginning at 9:00 am and will remain open until they are picked out.

Wineries

Campos Family Vineyards

  • May 13 – Mother’s Day Weekend, Rose 5k Fun Run at Campos Family Vineyards! Run or walk, 3 laps around our beautiful vineyard with the Mothers you love in your life to celebrate this wonderful weekend honoring women! There will be food trucks, music, wine and shopping! — More Info

Hannah Nicole Vineyards

  • May 14 – Toast Mom in style at Hannah Nicole Vineyards & Winery with our 4th annual Mother’s Day Paint Party.  Celebrate Mom by bringing the whole family our to this event.  Enjoy food from Oysters Oh La La and Global Express Food Trucks, live music by The Mirage Band, and of course…. wine! Serendipity Cellars

  • May 12 – Come and join us for live music performed by Tim Cechinni, with food available from Ceviche and Co. food truck. Kids are welcome on the lawn area. Gates open at 3:00PM.
  • May 13 – Come create your own brunch charcuterie platter for Mother’s Day. Food and supplies are included to create a brunch-themed platter that will feed up to 6 people. Salami, cheeses, cornichons, crackers, fruit, nuts, jam, honey – plus honey dipper, and the lifelong skill of making lavish food art with friends! Harvest Time is a Non-Profit Organization that is dedicated to educating the general public and “foodies” about farming and its products while improving Agri-tourism education in the Brentwood, California Region of East Contra Costa County. Each year, we produce an educational farm trail map that directs you to more than 60 growers who sell direct to the consumer!

Hi! Our ranch, Maggiore Ranch is opening May 17th at our Walnut Blvd location. I’m not sure where you got the above dates but we are definitely going to be open earlier!
