The following is a list of community events throughout Contra Costa County this summer and into the early fall. May 27: Clayton Concerts in the Grove Ft Rod the Mod (Rod Stewart Tribute Band)

May 27: Salsa Night at Hannah Nicole Vineyards

Back by popular demand is Salsa Night at Hannah Nicole Vineyards & Winery. We invite you to the winery to dance the night away under the stars to our favorite Salsa Band, The Max Cortes Latin Band, on Saturday, May 27th, 2023, from 6p to 9:30p. May 27-29: Bay Area Kidsfest (Concord)

Bay Area KidFest has been the premier family event in the San Francisco Bay Area for over three decades. Our 32nd KidFest is scheduled for the May 27-29, 2023 three-day Memorial Day Weekend in the largest city in upscale Contra Costa County. May 28: Bags & Brews Cornhole Tournament and Military Tribute (Brentwood)

Compete for the title of Bags and Brews Champion or just come and enjoy the day with family and friends in Downtown on Sunday, May 28th 2023. The Downtown Brentwood Coalition invites your team of 2 to register in one of the divisions that suits your skill level. A newbie? No problem! Sign up for the BACKYARD division. Won your fair share of games? Sign up in the COMPETITIVE division. Families, friends, and supporters are encouraged to attend, for free of course! May 28: Sunday sessions at Smiths Landing with Michelle Lambert

May 28: Pleasant Hill Sunset by the Lake Summer Concert Series Ft: Crossman Connection

This year’s Pleasant Hill Sunset by the Lake Summer Concert series gets underway with 8 shows between May 28 – Sept. 3 every other Sunday located at City Hall Lake, 100 Gregory Lane in Pleasant Hill. From 6:00 – 8;00 p.m. Bring your blankets, chairs, and picnic dinners for a great night by the lake. Adult beverages will be available from The Guzzler wine and beer truck.


Art & Wind Festival

May 28-29: San Ramon Art & Wind Festival

“Let’s go fly a kite!”  at The San Ramon Art & Wind Festival, the BEST festival in the East Bay. The Art & Wind Festival is scheduled for Sunday and Monday,  May 28–29, 2023 in San Ramon’s Central Park, 12501 Alcosta Boulevard from 11am to 6pm both days.

This annual event features fine arts, crafts and specialty food vendors, 3 entertainment stages headlining international music, party bands and variety entertainers, children’s shows,  gourmet food courts, family amusement zones, professional choreographed kite flying demonstrations, and free kite making workshop. May 29: Memorial Day at Hannah Nicole Vineyards

Come out and help us celebrate all the brave men and women who have sacrificed so that we can have the freedoms we have from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm .  We will have The Top Secret Dance Band on the main stage in the back and Ike’s Grill Food truck serving up their incredible burgers.  This is a family friendly event with free parking. June 2:  Lafeyette Rock the Plaza with Sausalito

Visit Lafeyette on Friday, June 2, 2023, 6pm-8pm, Lafayette Plaza Park (corner of Mt. Diablo Blvd. and Moraga Road, Lafayette, CA). Whether you cruised down Ventura Highway in a wood-paneled station wagon, blasting jams, or you just discovered Yacht Rock for the very first time; Sausalito faithfully re-creates the epic soft-rock and soul hits of the 70s, in all their glory. June 2: Oakley Concerts in the Park Ft. Locked N Loaded

From May through October, our Friday Night Bites in partnership with Foodie Crew includes a concert featuring a local band. The food trucks and the live music will be on site from 5 – 9pm at Civic Center Plaza, 3231 Main Street in Oakley.
Guests may bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy their meal and concert in the park. No outside alcohol is permitted.

June 2: Pittsburg First Fridays

Join the City of Pittsburg for First Fridays and make the Marina your backyard! This is a family event that will feature live music, great Marina views and wine. Feel free to bring our own lawn chairs and blankets. $10 for the first pour and a souvenir glass, each additional pour is $5. Located at 3 Marina Blvd, Pittsburg from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm


June 3: Discovery Bay Summer Jam Ft CCSeger

Join the Discovery Bay Lions Club as they host their Summer Concerts on June 3 and September 9 in the Down of Discovery Bay. Walnut Creek

June 3-4: 40th Annual Walnut Creek Art & Wine Festival

Join us for the 40th annual Walnut Creek Art & Wine Festival at Heather Farm Park! This is a free admission, family-friendly festival is taking place on Saturday, June 3rd from 11am-7pm and Sunday, June 4th from 11am-6pm. June 8 – Moraga Summer Concert Series: BEAUFUNK – Featuring Michael Jeffries

The Moraga Summer Concert Series schedule is set for 2023! They have 9 concerns which kicked off between June 8 – Aug 3 at the Moraga Commons Park (1425 St. Mary’s Road).


June 8: Orinda Summer Concerts in the Park – Featuring Three Day Weekend

Orinda invites the community down to Orinda Community Park, at 28 Orinda Way, for summer entertainment starting in June. Summer Concerts in the Park, which are sponsored by the Orinda Parks and Recreation Foundation and supported by the Orinda Community Foundation, and City of Orinda, are held on Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.


June 8 – Pittsburg Car Show & Music

The Pittsburg Car Show is back for 2023 with live bands, great cars, and lots of fun! Join us from 6p to 8p in Old Town Pittsburg for a night of family fun. Music by Konsept Party Band


June 9:  Lafeyette Rock the Plaza with The 925 Band

Visit Lafayette on Friday, June 9, 2023, 6pm-8pm, Lafayette Plaza Park (corner of Mt. Diablo Blvd. and Moraga Road, Lafayette, CA). The 925 Band is the East Bay’s hottest Dance & Party Band. The group has something for a variety of generations, playing musical genres to capture everyone’s interest. 925’s repertoire includes songs from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and 00’s to current hits and everything in between. This year’s Pleasant Hill Sunset by the Lake Summer Concert series gets underway with 8 shows between May 28 – Sept. 3 every other Sunday located at City Hall Lake, 100 Gregory Lane in Pleasant Hill. June 10-11: Artichoke Festival 2023 (Monterey)

Join us for this year’s Artichoke Festival! You won’t want to miss our 63rd annual community tradition filled with fun activities, delicious food, and plenty of our favorite thistle-y plant!


June 15: Moraga Summer Concert Series: The Cocktail Monkey’s

The Moraga Summer Concert Series schedule is set for 2023! They have 9 concerns which kicked off between June 8 – Aug 3 at the Moraga Commons Park (1425 St. Mary’s Road).

June 16: Brentwood Summer Concerts: Ariel Jean Band

The City of Brentwood will host its Starry Nights in Brentwood Summer Concert Series between June 16 through August 18 featuring 10 shows and showcasing all types of music genres. The events are held at City Park in Downtown Brentwood from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This show will feature Ariel Jean Band (Country)


June 16:  Lafeyette Rock the Hot Dog Chicken

Visit Lafayette on Friday, June 9, 2023, 6pm-8pm, Lafayette Plaza Park (corner of Mt. Diablo Blvd. and Moraga Road, Lafayette, CA). Hot Dog Chicken is a Bay Area band of life long musicians with a wide range of musical tastes. June 16-18: King of the County BBQ & Music Festival (Martinez)

King of the County BBQ & Music Festival is excited to expand our 15th Festival to 3 days on the June 16-18 Father’s Day Weekend in beautiful Waterfront Park in historic Downtown Martinez by the California Delta. We have added Friday (5-9pm) for a 3rd day in addition to Saturday (11am-8pm) and Father’s Day Sunday (11am-6pm). This popular FREE community event offers fun for the entire family. King of the County draws 10,000+ attendees from all over the Diablo Valley, East Bay, Solano County and San Francisco Bay Area to enjoy BBQ, live music from top local bands, arts and crafts booths and commercial exhibitors, carnival rides, more eclectic food vendors and other special attractions. June 23: Brentwood Summer Concerts Ft Orchestra Boinquen

The City of Brentwood will host its Starry Nights in Brentwood Summer Concert Series between June 16 through August 18 featuring 10 shows and showcasing all types of music genres. The events are held at City Park in Downtown Brentwood from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.


June 23: Lafeyette Rock the Plaza with Lamorinda Idol Finalist

Visit Lafayette on June 23 from 6pm-8pm, Lafayette Plaza Park (corner of Mt. Diablo Blvd. and Moraga Road, Lafayette, CA). Now in its 18th year, Lamorinda Idol, a program of the Lamorinda Arts Council, is an annual singing competition open to students in kindergarten through 12th grade who attend school or reside in Contra Costa County. Singers may enter as soloists or in groups. Performing at the Lafayette Plaza on June 23, 2023 will be some of the finalists selected from approximately 150 who will audition. The program of summer concerts and workshops culminates in the Finals at the Orinda Theatre, where singers receive immediate feedback from a panel of distinguished judges, and where the winners in each category receive cash prizes. The City of Brentwood will host its Starry Nights in Brentwood Summer Concert Series between June 16 through August 18 featuring 10 shows and showcasing all types of music genres. July 1: East Bay Duke’s and The Knights of Columbus 8th Annual Car Show

Join the East Bay Duke’s and The Knights of Columbus for its 8th Annual Car Show at Holey Rosary Catholic Church on July 1, 2023. July 21: Brentwood Summer Concerts Ft The Floorshakers

The City of Brentwood will host its Starry Nights in Brentwood Summer Concert Series between June 16 through August 18 featuring 10 shows and showcasing all types of music genres. July 22: Antioch Summer concert Series Ft. Helios

July 27- Moraga Summer Concert Series: The Big Jangle (Tom Petty Tribute)

The Moraga Summer Concert Series schedule is set for 2023! They have 9 concerns which kicked off between June 8 – Aug 3 at the Moraga Commons Park (1425 St. Mary’s Road).


July 27: Orinda Summer Concerts in the Park – Grateful Bluegrass Boys

Orinda invites the community down to Orinda Community Park, at 28 Orinda Way, for summer entertainment starting in June. July 28:  Brentwood Summer Concerts Ft Apple Z

The City of Brentwood will host its Starry Nights in Brentwood Summer Concert Series between June 16 through August 18 featuring 10 shows and showcasing all types of music genres. The events are held at City Park in Downtown Brentwood from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This show features Top 40 Dance Band Apple Z


July 29: 13th Annual Lobster Feast at Hannah Nicole Vineyards

Join us for our 13th Annual Lobster Feast in the Vineyards catered by Menegon Catering.  What a better way to spend a Saturday evening in July than enjoying fabulous Hannah Nicole wines, music by Chris Ahlman, dancing, and eating Maine Lobster from butcher paper at the vineyards.

Once all the bibs are tied, the steaming pots that are full of Maine Lobster, prawns, artichokes, beef hot links, potatoes, onions, and corn will be poured along the table.  It’s all topped off with fresh sourdough baguettes and cups of melted butter. Orinda invites the community down to Orinda Community Park, at 28 Orinda Way, for summer entertainment starting in June. Summer Concerts in the Park, which are sponsored by the Orinda Parks and Recreation Foundation and supported by the Orinda Community Foundation, and City of Orinda, are held on Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.


Aug 4: Brentwood Summer Concerts Ft Fleetwood Mask

The City of Brentwood will host its Starry Nights in Brentwood Summer Concert Series between June 16 through August 18 featuring 10 shows and showcasing all types of music genres. The events are held at City Park in Downtown Brentwood from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Fleetwood Mask (Fleetwood Mac Experience)


Aug 4: Oakley Concerts in the Park Ft. Project 4 Band

Aug 6: Brentwood Rock n’ Rides Car Show & Concert

Summer is on it’s way, and the Downtown Brentwood Coaltion can’t wait! Join us in Historic Downtown Brentwood on Sunday, August 6th to check out over 120 Rockin’ Rides and listen to live music on the Oak & First Stage. Aug 11: Brentwood Summer Concerts ft. Smooth Sounds of Santana

The City of Brentwood will host its Starry Nights in Brentwood Summer Concert Series between June 16 through August 18 featuring 10 shows and showcasing all types of music genres. The events are held at City Park in Downtown Brentwood from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This show features Smooth Sounds of Santana (a Santana Tribute)


Aug 12: Larger Than Life – The Boy Band Experience at Hannah Nicole Vineyards

It is time to scream and shot the night away to the music of Larger Than Life. Larger Than Life is known for the “The Ultimate Boyband Tribute” which started in New York and has taken the country by storm. This is the only act of it’s kind featuring actual boyband singing, dancing, costumes and that pop look. Sept. 8-11: Stand Down on the Delta

DVG www.deltaveteransgroup.org brings Contra Costa County (CCC) “Stand Down on the Delta” a Homeless Veteran’s “Hand Up” event every other year (2015, 2017, 2019….) DVG is proud to bring Stand Down on the Delta 2023 (September 8-11, 2023) to the CCC Fairgrounds in Antioch, CA. This is a four-day event wherein Veteran’s receive services in Medical, Dental, Veterans Treatment Court, Housing, Job Placement, Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Counseling. To date the Stand Down on the Delta biennial event has helped over 1,154 Veterans and their Families, served over 23,000 meals, gave away 850 pairs of boots,1,200 sleeping bags, 900 pairs of new Jeans, $230,000 in Dental Care, taken over 165 veterans Fishing on our Delta Shores and helped many more find Permanent Housing. We work with over 70 different organizations during our four day Stand Down on the Delta event. In September of 2019 over 850 Volunteers from around the State of California and even as far as S. Carolina came to Antioch to help us provide these great services to our veterans.

Sept 23 & Sept. 24: Lafayette Art & Wine Festival

The Lafayette Art, Wine and Music Festival is perhaps the largest annual festival in Contra Costa County. In 2022, over 65,000 people strolled among the booths of art and handmade crafts, enjoying foods from our local restaurants, food vendors and food trucks as well as quality wines and microbrews, pausing to enjoy continuous music from our four stages.
