At 1:49 pm Monday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vegetation fire in the City of Martinez.
Upon arrival, it was reported at there were several spot firs in Pacheco and in the City of Martinez along I-680. The original fire was reported at I-680 south at Pacheco Blvd.
CHP was also requested as smoke was blowing across the freeway. It was reported that there was as many as three separate fires.
