Stockton Taskforce Target Sunday Sideshow Activity

While residents in East Contra Costa County were treated to multiple sideshows in the City of Antioch Sunday evening of about 60 vehicles, Stockton Police reported they made multiple traffic stops and impounded vehicles.

According to Stockton police, on June 25, 2023, Stockton Police Officers and members of the San Joaquin County Sideshow Taskforce conducted a sideshow mission in Stockton. During the mission, officers made 98 traffic stops, issued 41 citations, referred 22 motorists to the state referee, and impounded 15 vehicles. There were 5 firearm-related arrests, 2 pursuit arrests, and 5 additional arrests.

The Stockton Police Department is encouraging people to call if they have information regarding illegal sideshows. Callers are asked to call the Stockton Police Department at (209) 937-8377 or Crime Stoppers at (209) 946-0600. Callers can remain anonymous.

Citizens may also send tips on the Stockton PD P3 Mobile Phone App. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
