On Friday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a train versus pedestrian in the City of Antioch.
The incident occurred at 9:50 am in the area of A Street near W 2nd Street. The pedestrian was alert and breathing according to initial reports.
Upon Antioch Police Department officers arrival, police reported the subject had their arm amputated and the updated location was at E 6th Street. A short-time later, a medical helicopter was requested and Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters had the amputated arm and requested a cooler with ice.
A medical helicopter was set to land in a nearby field to transport the person who was in their late 20’s in age.

Another train goes rogue. They just can’t help themselves. Always sneaking up on unsuspectiing pedestrians out roaming the trackside. We must reeducate these bad, bad trains
