In honor of Veterans Day, Antioch Friends of Animal Services is paying the adoption fee for any pet adopted from Antioch Animal Services on Saturday, November 11th, from 10am to 4:30pm.
A majority of our Board Members are men and women who served our country and would love nothing more than to celebrate Veterans Day by helping every homeless pet at our shelter find a home and experience the love of a family!
Our local shelter is at capacity! There are some truly amazing pets who would love a family to call their own. In return, that pet will provide a lifetime of love, devotion and gratitude.
All adoptable cats & dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and have age appropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption. The shelter will send them home with the food they are eating, a leash/collar for the dog, carrier for cats & coupons for other purchases.
Antioch Animal Services is located at 300 L St, adjacent to Antioch PD. Please view available pets at 24petconnect.com (search by zip code 94509) or antioch.petfinder.com.
While walk-ins are accepted, appointments are encouraged! Please call (925) 779-6989 for an appointment (phone lines open at 8:30am).
*Antioch residents will be required to pay for a one year dog license at time of adoption ($25 /$12.50 (Sr Discount)

They are an animal welfare organization dedicated to enhancing a humane Animal Services Program. We promote public awareness of the need to spay and neuter animals, we sponsor spay and neuter programs, we provide education on the humane care of animals, and we raise funds to support our mission.
Each animal in our community, dependent on the care of the Antioch Animal Shelter, has inherent value and requires humane treatment. The Friends began in a home with only a handful of zealous persons; but it grew to include hundreds from many areas. The Friends is living proof that even one person can have a tremendous and lasting impact for good.
Friends of Animal Services was formed for the express purpose of guaranteeing the people of Antioch a humane and comprehensive Animal Services program with an emphasis on a quality Animal Shelter and maximum responsible adoptions of animals.
