At 9:23 pm Sunday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian crash in Bay Point.
The crash occurred at Willow Pass Road and Poinsettia Ave.
According to preliminary information, the Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office arrived on scene and located a person down in the roadway who was bleeding. A sheriff deputy who arrived on scene first began CPR and continued until firefighters arrived.
A short time later, the person was pronounced deceased. No other information was provided on the vehicle vs. pedestrian crash. Check back for updates and the roadway is currently blocked for an investigation as of 9:50 pm.
