Livermore: Corral Fire Increases to 8,800 Acres Burned

CALFIRE has announced that the Corral Fire has grown to nearly 8,800 acres and is just 10% contained Saturday night.

The fire expanded from 4900 acres at 7:37 pm to 8.800 acres by 8:52 pm n

Meanwhile, CALTRANS has announced that I-580 from Corral Hollow Rd. to I-5 closed in both directions due to major grass fire, smoke and zero visibility. No ETO at this time.

CALFIRE has reported two Alameda County firefighters were taken to local hospitals for treatment of minor to moderate burns.

Along with CALFIRE and Alameda County Fire, the South San Joaquin Fire Authority, Tracy police and the San Joaquin County sheriff’s office are also assisting with the effort.
