On Monday, Barnes & Noble formally announced they are moving and re-locating to The Streets of Brentwood. They will open in early September.
In early January, a move to Brentwood was confirmed, but no formal dates had been released as they were stated their lease was ending and opted to move to the old REI space at The Streets. They had been at Slatten Ranch in the City of Antioch for the past 21-years.
Here is the following notice that was issued:
Dear Barnes & Noble Customers,
We have some exciting news to share – we’re moving! Our last day in this location will be in early September, with our new bookstore opening right after.
It has been our honor and privilege to be your bookseller in the Slatten Ranch Shopping Center for the last 21 years. We look forward to continuing that tradition in our beautiful new Barnes & Noble, which will be located just 5 minutes down the road in The Streets of Brentwood (2475 Sand Creek Road, Brentwood, CA 94513). The new bookstore will feature our updated store design and will offer all the things you love, including a B&N Café.
We thank our wonderful Antioch booksellers for their many years of hard work and dedication, and they, as we, cannot wait to welcome you back into our brand-new bookstore. Please follow @bnbbrentwood on social media for details and updates.

Glad to see something other than a chain / fast food restaurant coming to Brentwood.
Yet additional confirmation what happens when voters make poor decisions and a city ends up incredibly mismanaged by woke incompetents.
This makes sense actually, nobody in Antioch reads books.
Let’s not forget about the many normal people who are stuck in Antioch, like my son. It’s insult to injury to assume no one in Antioch wants a better life than what they’ve been subjected to in the last several years. I’m sick of the “Antioch deserves it” mentality, as not everyone voted this way. Thanks.
Nobody is “stuck in Antioch”, but I agree that Antich needs Lathorpe to go.
Starting in January 2025 you will need to read the Brentwood Police log, not the Antioch Police log, to be updated on the activities of the store.
Two different log styles. Antioch simply gives incident/date/street…. Brentwood actually gives you information on what happened.
why is antioch always so private with their police records? remember when they bought that million dollar scanner out of measure c i think it was , just to block people from hearing what was going on, but they said it was for safety lol . Safety from who ? most of the united states has open scanners but out of all the cities in the united states , antioch desperately needed to spend 1 million dollars to upgrade their scanner to an encrypted one. Things havent gotten safer since .
Unfortunate sign of times . Bishop ranch has crime like all other shopping areas . Another fact : The homeless malinger in front and sleep behind the center which makes the current area undesirable to do business. The rent is probably comparable and the Streets maybe be cleaner ( a dead homeless body was found behind target). I wish Brentwood Antioch and Oakley would think twice about spending money on community celebration and events and spend more on clean streets, and blight law enforcement .
