3 Dead: Richmond Police Investigating Pair of Fatal Shootings

The Richmond Police Department says it is investigating a pair of shooting that has left three people dead in a span of 9-hours.

On June 18 at 4:15 pm, officers responded to the 700 block of Pennsylvania Ave for a report of a shooting. Officers responded and located one victim at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three additional victims arrived at a local hospital, seeking treatment. Unfortunately, one of those victims succumbed to their wounds. The two remaining victims are in stable condition and are expected to survive.

On June 19 at 12:42 am, officers responded to another report of a shooting in the 1300 block of Kelsey St. Officers located a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the scene. The victim unfortunately succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

In response to these shootings, Richmond Police say they have increased the number of officers on patrol and are conducting high-visibility patrols. Richmond Police Homicide Detectives are actively investigating these homicides and are working to bring the persons responsible to justice.
