On Sunday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a head-on vehicle crash in the area of Vasco Road and Camino Diablo.
The crash occured at 7:12 pm was located approximently 4-miles south of Camino Diablo with lanes blocked in both directions. A medical helicopter was requested along with 2-AMR units.
Engine 92 crew arrived on scene reporting a two-vehicle crash with one vehicle on its roof with major damage. A third AMR unit was requested as of 7:30 pm.
Engine 92 crew reported there were 4 patients. They cancelled the medical helicopter, but requested all ground resources to continue to the scene.
