The Pinole Police Department reports that 5 juveniles were arrested after a robbery at a liquor store.
On July 21, 2024, at approximately 6:53 PM, officers were dispatched to a report of an armed robbery at Bill’s Liquors located at 2350 San Pablo Avenue.
The reporting party indicated that at least one individual was armed with a gun. Officers arrived within one minute, but the suspects had already fled the scene on foot.
Witnesses soon reported seeing the suspects running on a trail leading toward the City of Hercules. With the prompt and invaluable assistance of the Hercules Police Department, a perimeter was established. Utilizing their advanced drone technology, the Hercules Police Department played a crucial role in locating the suspects, leading to the successful apprehension of all five individuals involved in the robbery.
It was determined that five male juveniles were involved in the incident. Two of them entered the store armed with Orbeez guns, shot gel balls at the clerk, and stole a large quantity of alcohol before fleeing. Thanks to the coordinated efforts and swift response of both police departments, all suspects were taken into custody without further incident.
Pinole police said they extend their deepest gratitude to the civilian witnesses and the Hercules Police Department for their cooperation, professionalism, and effective use of drone technology, which was instrumental in the quick resolution of this case.
