The City of Pinole is pleased to announce the upcoming appointment of Kelcey Young as City Manager, commencing August 26, 2024. Young brings a wealth of experience in leading dynamic initiatives in small and large cities.
Kelcey Young, with her passion for developing innovative solutions, has been a driving force in local government since 2016. Her demonstrated ability to execute complex projects that result in positive outcomes, coupled with her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies and Leadership from Humboldt State University and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, make her a promising leader for the City of Pinole.
Young adeptly knows development, finance, procurement, and innovation. Her ability to navigate complex municipal challenges with heart and dedication while driving innovation makes her an excellent choice to lead our City.
Pinole was Young’s first choice when seeking new opportunities. She stated, “Pinole is an amazing city that is set to continue to be a very influential and incredible city to live and reside for years to come. “ I am a dedicated public servant, and team player and it is an honor to serve the Pinole community in this capacity.”
The Mayor and City Council have full confidence that Young will provide a fresh perspective and collaborative leadership to see the City of Pinole through financial challenges along with the development of the 2026-2031 Strategic Plan. Their unwavering confidence in her abilities instills a sense of security and optimism about the City’s future.
“I look forward to working with Kelcey to address our community’s needs and build a brighter future. She is a great fit for Pinole and will play a vital role ensuring the continued success of our vibrant City,” stated Mayor Maureen Toms.
