The California Highway Patrol – Contra Costa, announced results from its July 26 DUI checkpoint which resulted in a total of 3 DUI arrests–4 total arrests.
According to CHP, on Friday, July 26th, 2024, Officers from the CHP Contra Costa Area office collaborated with Pittsburg Police Department, in a successful effort to combat drunk driving. Officers from both agencies worked in tandem to conduct a DUI checkpoint in the city of Pittsburg, CA.
The results included:
- Vehicles Screened: 849
- DUI Evaluations: 8
- DUI Arrests: 3
- Citations Issued: 9
- Other Arrests: 1
- Vehicles Stores: 3
- Vehicles Impounded: 1
