Antioch: Barricaded Subject Prompts Lockdown of Dallas Ranch Middle School

The Antioch Police Department announced that an outside agency SWAT operation regarding a barricaded subject has prompted a lockdown of Dallas Ranch Middle School.

The incident began around 1:00 pm Friday and involves the Daly City Police Department

UPDATE From Antioch Police

Please avoid the area of 5100 Tehachapi Way. The Daly City Police Department is currently serving an arrest warrant, and the suspect has barricaded himself inside a residence. There are numerous officers on scene and crisis negotiators are working to resolve the incident. For your safety, we ask everyone to stay clear of the area.

Dallas Ranch Middle School is on lockdown as a precautionary measure, and officers are on scene to ensure everyone’s safety.
Please do not call 911 to inquire about the status of the lockdown. Updates will be posted on social media as soon as they become available.

*** Update 1:32 pm *** For any pickups from Dallas Ranch Middle School, the best access is southbound on Dallas Ranch Road from Lone Tree Way. All traffic will be directed westbound on Mt. Hamilton to pickup children. Eastbound Mt. Hamilton will be closed to facilitate school pickups. Officers are on scene for traffic control and safety.
Update 1:57 pm – The subject in question has been detained and the situation has safely resolved.
