Walnut Creek Police Theft Operation Nets 10 Arrests

The Walnut Creek Police Department announced the arrests of multiple subjects in connection with theft in downtown Walnut Creek.

According to police, they worked in collaboration with the BART Police Department, conducted a proactive theft suppression operation at a local business in the downtown area. During the seven hour operation, ten suspects were arrested for theft and other violations.

The following suspects were arrested:

  • Daniel Stovall 6/21/91, out of Oakland
  • Wayne Aquina 6/1/83, out of Concord
  • Anthony Henderson 2/19/83, out of Pittsburg
  • Corey Ford 5/9/03, out of Vallejo
  • Joseph Lang 9/15/77, out of Oregon
  • Kevin Salerno 6/18/94, out of Livermore
  • Cody Hatch 4/21/90, out of Fairfield
  • Cory Millican 6/15/89, out of Oregon
  • John Matadelcollado 12/2/84, out of Truckee
  • Roger Mitchell 11/16/71, out of Concord

Pleasant Hill & Antioch Police Also Highlight Theft Arrest

This week, both the Antioch Police Department and Pleasant Hill Police Department highlighted operations resulting in theft arrests. In Pleasant Hill, the operation resulted in officers recovering approximately $1,800 in stolen merchandise, and made 10 arrests at Dicks Sporting Goods, Kohls and Marshalls.
In Antioch, officers responded when a Target employee tried to intervene, one of the suspects rammed the employee with a shopping cart and threatened them, turning this simple theft into a robbery.

Three suspects—one male and two females—fled the scene in a vehicle with the stolen merchandise.
With quick coordination with the Brentwood Police Department, the suspect vehicle was located at a Safeway in Brentwood, where another robbery had just occurred. Working with the victims in this case, three of the four suspects were positively identified, and the stolen property was returned to Target.
The suspects were booked at Martinez Detention Facility for robbery. Antioch Police did not identify the suspects.
