Brentwood, CA – The Downtown Brentwood Coalition (DBC) today announced that Amy Tilley will be stepping down from her role as Executive Director, effective October 1st, 2024. After three years of dedicated service, Tilley will be pursuing new opportunities for personal growth while shifting some much-needed focus back to her family.
Peter Jacoway, Board President notes, “During her tenure, Amy Tilley has been instrumental in driving the Coalition’s vision forward, championing initiatives that have revitalized downtown Brentwood and strengthened community engagement. Her leadership has been marked by successful events, meaningful partnerships, and significant progress towards enhancing the vibrancy of our downtown area.”
“Amy has been a driving force behind many of our achievements,” said Lynn Tei, Board Officer and Treasurer. “Her commitment, creativity, and unwavering dedication have made a profound impact on our community. While we are saddened to see her go, we are excited for the new paths she will explore and are grateful for the legacy she leaves behind.”
As the Coalition begins the transition process, the Board of Directors will be working diligently to ensure a smooth handover. The Board Officers will conduct a comprehensive plan for the next chapter with the assistance of a pioneer and trailblazer in Downtown revitalization, consultant Rachael Snedecor of Roots Up Collective, along with the organization’s partners through the City of Brentwood and the Main Street America program.
Reflecting on her time leading the Downtown revitalization efforts Tilley shares, “It has been an honor and privilege to have seen and been a part of the spark that ignited to begin restoring our amazing downtown. The members are just the most incredible group of small business owners, non-profits, and residents, and they aren’t going anywhere! I know they will keep the fire burning bright in Downtown. My goal was to be a part of something that would make this community better for my children and all the families here in Brentwood. I am so grateful and want to publicly say, Thank You, to the Board, our members, and to the City of Brentwood staff and City Council for supporting the efforts and the vision to restore our Historic Downtown, and for allowing me to be a part of the team that has made a big impact here in Brentwood.”
The Downtown Brentwood Coalition thanks Amy Tilley for her remarkable service and wishes her every success in her future endeavors
About the Downtown Brentwood Coalition
The mission of the Downtown Brentwood Coalition is to enhance the economic growth of the downtown area by focusing on education, promotion, and development of the business
community, and those areas of the community affecting business. Our primary goals are to
strengthen our local economy, to promote the community, provide networking opportunities, represent the interest of business with government, and develop community leaders. The Downtown Brentwood Coalition was formed by the many businesses in the downtown area with the intent to create an atmosphere of warm family fun and a welcoming attitude to the residents of Brentwood, as well as surrounding communities. The synergy created by business owners has blossomed into a plan for a year-long schedule of activities and events. The plan encompasses a wide range of ages, genders, and socio-economic backgrounds with an even wider range of activities that will bring residents to the downtown area and introduce them to the varieties and depth of the businesses. It is vital to the overall health of the city to have the businesses in the downtown area thriving. This is our Mission
