It has been a while, but residents of Contra Costa County have a bunch of events to choose from this weekend.


Pittsubrg Seafood and Music Festival

The Pittsubrg Seafood and Music Festival returns September 7-8 in the scenic Old Town Pittsburg Waterfront for a two-day celebration filled with seafood, lively music, and family-friendly fun.

Since 1984, the Pittsburg Seafood and Music Festival has been a beloved tradition in our community, drawing thousands of visitors each year to enjoy the best of what Pittsburg has to offer. This year, we’re continuing that legacy with an exciting lineup of events and activities designed to delight attendees of all ages.

Festival Highlights Include:

  • A mouthwatering selection of seafood from local vendors, offering everything from fresh oysters and crab legs to internationally inspired dishes.
  • Multiple live music stages featuring a diverse array of genres, including blues, rock, jazz, and more.
  • A dedicated kids’ zone with games, rides, and activities to keep our younger guests entertained.
  • Artisan vendors, cooking demonstrations, and interactive workshops that showcase the vibrant culture and creativity of our community.

Antioch

Antioch Peddlers Faire

Join the Celebrate Antioch Foundation in downtown Antioch as they host its Peddlers Faire on September 7 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The event will feature  over 70 Vendors Offering a Little Something for Everyone! Vintage Goods, Antiques, Furniture, Home Decor, Repurposed & Upcycled Items, Home & Garden, Handmade Items, Arts & Crafts, Jewelry & Gifts and So Much More! They will also have Live Music, Food , Beer & Wine and Great Shopping Fun! This is a family friendly event, kids and fur babies are all welcome. The even is being held at G St & 2nd Street in the City of Antioch.

Brentwood

La Gran Fiesta

Join the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce as they host La Gran Fiesta in downtown Brentwood. The free event will feature music, food, and non-stop fun on September 7 from 11:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brentwood City Park. This year, there will also feature three incredible bands, so bring your dancing shoes and prepare to have a blast!

  • 11:00 am – Car Show begins
  • 2:30 pm – Toma Flamenco
  • 3:35 pm – Comando Bravo
  • 5:45 pm – Ballet Folklorico
  • 6:00 pm – Eduardo y su orquesta candela

The La Gran Fiesta aims to celebrate Hispanic culture in and around Brentwood and strengthen the Brentwood Community Spirit.

Monster Trucks

There’s excitement in the air at Antioch Speedway. On Saturday night with the annual visit of the Malicious Monster Truck Insanity Tour continues. The classic lineup is in town, which includes the popular Rock Star, Cali Kid, Identity Theft, NAPA Car Care and Spitfire. The ride-along trucks will also be here to give the fans a taste of what it’s like to ride in one of these beasts before, during and after each show.
