The Contra Costa County Sheriff had a busy weekend in Bay Point where they responded to a stabbing that left multiple people wounded and in another incident a carjacking.
3 Wounded in Stabbing
At 9:45 pm Saturday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of Camino Andres. Crews initially located two victims, and later came across a third victim by 10:00 pm.
The status of the individuals is unknown and its unclear if any arrests were made or if the victims knew each other.
Sunday Carjacking
Just after 6:00 am Sunday, the Contra Costa County Sheriff responded to a report of a carjacking that left one person injured on Camino Andres. The victim was ultimately transported to an area hospital.
Law enforcement were looking for a suspect described as a Hispanic male in his 20’s or 30’s with long hair wearing a white/gray sweatshirt with a jack over it. Sheriff deputies focused their search in the area of Anchor Drive to Port Chicago focused on Riverside Place searching backyards. They were unable to located the suspect and called off the search.
No information has been released on either incident by the Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office. It is also unclear if both incidents in Bay Point were related or not.
