Brentwood POA endorses Faye Malony for Brentwood City Council and Mike Barbanica for Contra Costa County Board of Supervisor
Brentwood, CA – The Brentwood Police Officers’ Association (BPOA) is announcing its endorsement and support of one of the candidates running for the available District 1 seat on Brentwood’s City Council in the upcoming election, as well as one of the candidates running for the District 5 seat on Contra Costa County’s Board of Supervisors.
After being approached by candidates and engaging with them, the BPOA made the decision to endorse Faye Maloney for the Brentwood City Council District 1 seat and Mike Barbanica for the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors District 5 seat.
The BPOA works to build relationships with members of the community who are committed to promoting public safety in the City of Brentwood and Contra Costa County.
Officer Aaron Peachman, BPOA President, stated about Maloney, “Faye Maloney has extensive experience in public safety, and we look forward to working with her to improve the safety of Brentwood and shape Brentwood’s future.”
Peachman said regarding Barbanica, “Mike Barbanica has had a long career of safety oriented public service which will be invaluable in guiding Contra Costa County.”
“Faye Maloney has dedicated herself to public service and public safety, and has long had an interest in bringing that experience home to the City of Brentwood. The Brentwood Police Officers’ Association believes that Faye Maloney brings a strong background of leadership, community engagement, and public service which make her an ideal candidate to step into the District 1 city council seat. Mike Barbanica has a tremendous amount of experience in public safety and local government, and would be perfect for the District 5 board of supervisors seat. The Brentwood Police Officers’ Association invites anyone in Brentwood Council District 1 to vote for Faye Maloney, and anyone in Contra Costa County District 5 to vote for Mike Barbanica.”
The BPOA is still considering whether or not it will make endorsements for the City of Brentwood District 3 council seat and the City of Brentwood mayor seat, which are both up for election.
Peachman added that the BPOA is still considering whether or not it will make endorsements in the city’s other races.
