The Brentwood Police Department announced the arrest of two suspects connected to a pair of ATM robberies in the City of Antioch and city of Brentwood.

On April 9th of this year around 12 PM, Brentwood officers responded to an armed robbery at the drive-through ATM of Bank of America, located on the 6200 block of Lone Tree Way. Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim, who had just withdrawn a significant amount of money, was robbed at gunpoint. Further investigation revealed that the same vehicle and suspects were involved in another ATM robbery in Antioch.

Officers quickly notified surrounding agencies. Pittsburg Police Department successfully located the vehicle and arrested 20-year-old Jaylen McDaniel of Antioch. In August, the second suspect, 20-year-old Maurice Strong of Vallejo, was apprehended by the Solano County Sheriff’s Department after fleeing in a stolen vehicle. Strong also had outstanding warrants.

Police said due to the diligent work of our officers and detectives, with the support of Pittsburg PD and Solano County Sheriff’s Office, we are pleased to report that both McDaniel and Strong are now awaiting their day in court.

This incident serves as a reminder to our community to remain vigilant and aware of your surroundings, especially in potentially vulnerable situations like using ATMs.
