Antioch High School Fights

Despite social media rumors of multiple fights and an assault on a teacher, according to Principal John Jimno, he provided clarification on what transpired:

Yesterday (Monday) we had a fight during our first lunch.  One girl wanted to continue and fight and in the process of me stopping her she did attempt and may have slightly landed a hit on me, but is nothing crazy like her trying to fight me.  We had an upset family that showed up and made it harder for us to calm the situation down because they were so upset.

While I was trying to calm the parent who was being aggressive with me a second fight happened at the front of the school. With 1,000 students at lunch this made the situation a lot harder to resolve and having a confrontational parent did not help the situation, so we called Antioch Police Department to help us with the parent.  But all in all, there was two separate fights that were connected to each other and 1 parent that was a little to aggressive.  No gun or threat of a gun took place.

To my knowledge, no Site Safety was purposely grabbed or thrown by a student.   I wouldn’t call it a normal day, but it wasn’t anything like your email described.

It’s messed up that the police (in any state) don’t tell the public these minors names. Especially if they are fighting, going to school (or anywhere else) with weapons! It’s not safe for the citizens! Why won’t many police protect the citizens?!!!
