On October 12, 2024, at approximately 8:25 PM, Antioch Police officers responded to a report of a hit and run auto vs. pedestrian vehicle collision on Lone Tree Way near Canda Valley Road in the City of Antioch.
Officers arrived on scene and found the female victim unresponsive on the ground in the eastbound lanes of Lone Tree Way. Officers performed first aid until relieved by paramedics.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries.
Traffic accident investigators were called out to take over the investigation. This investigation is still on-going, and the cause of the collision has not yet been determined. This case is in the preliminary stages and the names of the parties involved are not being released at this time.

- June 24 – Updated: Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Lone Tree Way in Antioch: On June 23rd at approximately 10:33 PM, officers were dispatched to the report of an auto versus pedestrian collision on Lone Tree Way near Black Diamond Drive. When officers arrived, they located the pedestrian, a 71 year old male resident of Antioch, suffering from life threatening injuries. Unfortunately, the man did not survive and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle that collided with the pedestrian remained on scene and cooperated in the investigation. The preliminary investigation and witness statements revealed that the man was crossing Lone Tree Way, in the crosswalk, against the don’t walk signal when the collision occurred. Impairment does not appear to be a factor in this collision and the man’s identity is being withheld pending notification to his next of kin.
