Just before 6:00 am Thursday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District were dispatched to a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian at Walnut Blvd and Marsh Creek Road in Brentwood.
It was reported that a pedestrian was struck by a SUV and was on the ground not moving.
AMR arrived on scene by 6:05 am and declared the person deceased.
No other information is available and the California Highway Patrol is responding.
UPDATE: VEHICLE VS PEDESTRIAN FATALITY ON SR-4 IN BRENTWOOD.
This morning, October 17, 2024, at approximately 5:55am, Contra Costa CHP was advised of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on SR-4 westbound, west of Walnut Boulevard. At the time of the crash, a black Chevrolet Avalanche, was traveling on SR-4 westbound, west of Walnut Boulevard when it struck a pedestrian in the roadway.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene and the driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.
