At 7:50 am Monday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of smoke coming from a home in the City of Oakley.
Crews responded to the 1300 block of Quail Valley Run in Oakley where they observed heavy smoke coming from the garage area. All occupants were out of the home. Crews made fire attack and limited the damage to the garage area. It was believed the fire may have extended to the attic, however, it appears they knocked down the fire before it could extend to the rest of the home.
By 8:20 am, the fire was deemed out.
No other information on the garage fire was available and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
