Brentwood Police Say Man Convicted in March Shooting

The Brentwood Police says Demetrius Carroll has been convicted of attempted voluntary manslaughter and assault with a deadly weapon in a March shooting.

According to police, on March 16, 2024 at approximately 8:00 pm, Brentwood officers responded to a report of a shooting at the 400 block of Orchard Drive. When officers arrived, they located an adult male victim who had been shot multiple times. The victim was transported to a local area hospital and survived his injuries.

After speaking to witnesses on scene, officers and Detectives identified an adult suspect, 34 year-old Demetrius Carroll of Brentwood.

Friday, November 1st, Carroll was convicted of attempted voluntary manslaughter and assault with a deadly weapon. This is the 5th strike for Carroll.

March 17, 2024Sunday Update: SHOOTING INVESTIGATION

Brentwood,CA- On 3/16/2024 at approximately 8:00 pm, Brentwood officers responded to a report of a shooting at the 400 block of Orchard Drive. When officers arrived, they located an adult male victim who had been shot multiple times. The victim is recovering in a local hospital and is expected to survive.

After speaking to the victim and witnesses in the area, officers identified an adult suspect who was taken into custody without further incident.
