In separate operations, the Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek Police Departments conducted a proactive retail theft suppression operation resulting in multiple arrests.

According to Walnut Creek Police, they conducted a proactive retail crime suppression operation, resulting in 9 arrests tied to retail theft. This operation is a part of its ongoing efforts to protect local businesses and ensure a safe shopping experience for all. Below are the adult suspects arrested during yesterday’s operation:

  • Julio Barrera, 27 year old Oakland resident
  • David Ford, 41 year old San Pablo resident
  • Brian Jacobs, 39 year old San Francisco resident
  • Emma Christensen, 35 year old San Francisco resident
  • Edward Gonzales, 44 year old Bay Point resident
  • Dominic Antoine, 27 year old Oakland resident
  • 3 arrestees were juveniles.

On Saturday, November 9, Pleasant Hill Police held a theft suppression operation at Target which resulted in six arrests. Often these arrests for theft lead to other criminal issues which will all be forwarded to the District Attorney. Arrested include

  • Andy Saechao 29 of Concord
  • Daniel Cabillio 34 of Concord
  • Russell Reese 31 of Antioch
  • Amari Cavness 21 of Richmond

The theft suppression operations come as California voted last week to approve Prop 36 with 69% support where it will now reclassify some misdemeanor theft and drug crimes as felonies—undoing parts of Prop 47. It will increase sentences for theft based on value of the property stolen.
