On Friday, the Contra Costa County Elections issued its election update which gives a clearer look at who will be elected to local office.

Voter Turnout increased to 71.98% with 519,078 ballots cast out of 722,861 registered votes. — an increase of 1249 votes added to the count.

Estimated number of unprocessed ballots:

  • Ballots voted at a voting location – 0
  • Vote-by-mail ballots received on or before Election Day – 0
  • Vote-by-mail ballots received after Election Day – 600
  • Provisional ballots – 5,000
  • Conditional Voter Registration Provisional ballots – 5,000
  • Other (In Review, Damaged) – 4,000
  • Total – 14,600
  • Next Results Expected: Friday, 11/22/2024, 4:00PM

  • 52.09% – Shanelle Scales-Preston (40,073)
