The following is a sampling of the Oakley Police Calls reported between November 3-9 which focuses on the higher priority call responses in the City of Oakley.
Oakley Police Investigates Gun on Gehringer School Campus Update:
On Thursday, Oakley Police Chief Paul Beard provided additional information as he confirmed the city does not have a specific gun storage ordinance like some cities in Contra Costa County. He added the firearm was in a backpack in an “internal pocket” of the backpack. The firearm also did not have a gun lock/trigger lock. He also did not have information on if the male had a CCW permit or not.

OUTSTANDING!!! only 11 calls this week to the 1800 block Locke ct. Do the cops in Oakley know how to arrest people?
To the gun at Geringer. It’s reassuring to know that there was a lock on the firearm- a responsible owner, unlike the trash in the city to the west. This dude is going to have a rough year or 2, though, no doubt- legally. I doubt the individual had a ccw because this county sheriff is is anti-2A.
