A Richmond man was arrested by Livermore Police in connection with a high-end retail theft in the City of Livermore.

Last Thursday at 2 p.m., Livermore Police responded to a report of two men stealing several high-end fragrances from Ulta Beauty on West Jack London Boulevard. The suspects drove off in a green Acura sedan, which was last seen heading toward Dublin.

Livermore Police Dispatch alerted the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Dublin Police Services. Within 20 minutes, deputies located the vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop.  The pursuit ended near the Target in Dublin, where the suspects’ vehicle was involved in a collision. Both suspects ran off but were apprehended shortly after.

The suspects, identified as 31-year-old Dquanzie Blackmon of Richmond and 38-year-old Mark Anderson of San Francisco, were arrested for organized retail theft. All stolen items were recovered and returned to Ulta Beauty.


Robbery

Brentwood Police Say Third Juvenile Arrested in Robbery and Assault

The Brentwood Police Department announced a third juvenile has been arrested in assault with a deadly weapon and robbery incident that occurred on 11/2/2024.
On 11/2/24, Brentwood officers responded to Safeway on Balfour for a robbery, where a firearm and cell phone had just been stolen from the adult victim. When officers arrived, they determined that the victim and a group of 4 juveniles were engaged in a road rage confrontation prior. Officers arrived on scene quickly and were able to apprehend two of the juvenile suspects, who were placed under arrest, while the other two (one of which is an adult) remain outstanding.
On Friday, 11/8/24, The District Attorney’s Office (Juvenile Division) filed charges against one of the Juveniles. While two juveniles are still outstanding, they have been identified. — original story

Concord: Traffic Stop Leads to Major Arrest

Last week, Concord Police Department patrol officers conducted a traffic stop that led to a significant discovery.  Officers smelled marijuana and observed it in plain view. Further investigation revealed:

  • 2 loaded firearms
  • Nearly $10,000 in cash
  • Prescription drugs, marijuana, and cocaine packaged for sale
The driver, with a history of felony convictions, was arrested on firearms and narcotics charges. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence, uncovering:
  • 2 additional firearms, including a fully automatic weapon
  • Nearly ½ pound of cocaine
  • Almost 200 oxycodone pills
  • Prescription codeine syrup
  • 40+ pounds of marijuana
  • $12,000 in cash

Walnut Creek Police Arrest Bay Point Man

The Walnut Creek Police announced that a vehicle with stolen license plates was located at a hotel in town on November 16.  Officers safely arrested Javier Becerra-Cortes, a 24 year old resident of Bay Point, for gun and drug violations. Becarra-Cortes was given a free  to jail.


San Pablo Police Nab Theft Suspect

San Pablo Police announced that on November 17, graveyard officers responded to an alarm call. As officers were enroute, other officers began reviewing cameras and located a subject breaking into multiple vehicles that were parked there. Officers observed the suspect steal multiple tools from several work trucks and leave the area. Officers located the vehicle as it was driving away and arrested the suspect. Officers were able to recover the tools and the suspect was booked into county jail. Police say as a reminder don’t steal in San Pablo, or you will be arrested.


Richmond Police: Tobacco Retailer Inspections Uncover Illegal Drug Sales Operations

Over the past 3 weeks, Richmond Police Detectives have partnered with its Code Enforcement Officers to randomly inspect local tobacco retailers. Out of 13 locations inspected, four locations were determined to have illegal drugs on the premises that were packaged and ready for sale. Officers seized over seven pounds of marijuana that were in leaf, powder, and liquid forms. They also seized a sizable quantity of psychedelic mushrooms and psychedelic mushroom-laced chocolate bars and candy gummies.

Businesses caught engaged in illegal drug sales like this face hefty fines, criminal charges, and administrative action that can result in the closure of their business.

Pleasant Hill & Walnut Creek Police Retail Theft

On November 9, Pleasant Hill Police Officers and Detectives conducted an operation at Target netting six arrests. Often these arrests for theft lead to other criminal issues which will all be forwarded to the District Attorney. Arrested include

  • Andy Saechao 29 of Concord
  • Daniel Cabillio 34 of Concord
  • Russell Reese 31 of Antioch
  • Amari Cavness 21 of Richmond
  • Donald Freeman 40 of Pleasant Hill
  • Merlin Ramos-Guajaco 25 of Concord

Also on November 9 the Walnut Creek Police Department conducted a proactive retail crime suppression operation, resulting in 9 arrests tied to retail theft. This operation is a part of our ongoing efforts to protect local businesses and ensure a safe shopping experience for all.

Below are the adult suspects arrested during yesterday’s operation:

  • Julio Barrera, 27 year old Oakland resident
  • David Ford, 41 year old San Pablo resident
  • Brian Jacobs, 39 year old San Francisco resident
  • Emma Christensen, 35 year old San Francisco resident
  • Edward Gonzales, 44 year old Bay Point resident
  • Dominic Antoine, 27 year old Oakland resident
  • 3 arrestees were juveniles.

Yesterday afternoon there were three sheriff cars and four tow trucks on Pacheco next to the train trestle. The property looked like a junk yard and they started pulling vehicles out.
I have not been able to find any information
