The Walnut Creek Police Department announced that 16 people were arrested for retail theft during a crime suppression operation in downtown Walnut Creek.
According to police, 100 stolen items were recovered during the operation where the following 16 suspects were arrested:
- Lavonda Olden, resident of Walnut Creek
- Mishelle Flittie, resident of Concord
- Makineti Tuavao, resident of Concord
- Marisa Mendenhall, resident of Bay Point
- Fernando Valdessotelo, resident of Pittsburg
- Andrew Fong, resident of Antioch
- Jowada Christopher, resident of Antioch
- Conner Brookey, resident of Arroyo Grande
- Edgar Ramos, resident of Concord
- Saman Haghpast-Rad, resident of Milwauke
- Montserrat Luján-Perdono, resident of Walnut Creek
- Eric Ziko, resident of Oakland
- Kisha Harris, resident of Antioch
- Daison Londono, resident of San Francisco
- David Denton, resident of Berkeley

Juvenile Arrest
Walnut Creek Police were also offering a tip to crooks who enter the city, “A tip to thieves coming to Walnut Creek to commit thefts, don’t be a grinch this holiday season.”
Nov 9: Retail Theft Operation:
On November 9 the Walnut Creek Police Department conducted a proactive retail crime suppression operation, resulting in 9 arrests tied to retail theft. This operation is a part of our ongoing efforts to protect local businesses and ensure a safe shopping experience for all.

3 arrestees were juveniles.
