Pleasanton, Calif. – The Alameda County Fair announces popular Bay Area rapper, Too $hort, and California soul-funk-R&B band, WAR, as the first headliners performing at the Big O Tires Summer Concert series at the 2025 Alameda County Fair, held from June 13-July 6, 2025.

WAR’s concert will be held on opening day of Fair: Friday, June 13, 2025. Too $hort will perform on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Each concert begins at 8pm.

WAR has been awarded 20 multi-platinum, platinum and gold albums and singles over an illustrious career. This year, the band celebrates the 50th anniversary of their most popular 1973 album release, The World is a Ghetto, returning as a Fair fan favorite performer. Bay Area rap legend, Too $hort, is a pioneer of West Coast hip-hop and has collaborated with other popular artists like 2Pac and Notorious B.I.G.

“The Big O Tires Summer Concert series is one of the main highlights of the Alameda County Fair,” says Marketing Director, Kristin LaPorte. “Guests can look forward to 17 incredible shows hitting the stage at 8pm. We’re especially excited with the return of WAR performing on opening day of the Fair.”
