The Brentwood Regional Community Chest donation barrels have been placed at 45 locations and are ready to be filled.
Within the barrels, they are looking to collect non-perishable food and new toy donations in an effort to support nearly 500 families in East Contra Costa County. For over 50 years, the BRCC has been helping local families, and all donations stay right here in our community.
Barrels will be picked up on December 16th, so be sure to make your contributions before then. Let’s work together to make this holiday season special for our neighbors in need.
Brentwood Regional Community Chest also has two more signup days for its holiday food and toy basket registration (Brentwood Senior Activity Center at 193 Griffith Lane). The dates are:

About
Up to 500 families from Brentwood, Byron, Discovery Bay and Knightsen are presented with a full holiday dinner, canned food and age-appropriate presents for their children. The program is largely dependent on the generosity and support of individuals, families and businesses in our community. Starting the second week in November, barrels and bins will be located throughout Far East County for donations of non-perishable food and new toys.
On Friday, December 20, 2024, from 4:00 – 9:00 P.M., food boxes will be packed in the Brentwood Elementary Cafeteria. Food and toys will be distributed to families on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 7:30 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Volunteers are needed for both days. There is no need to sign up ahead of time.
