On Friday, Contra Costa County Supervisor Federal Glover continued his tradition of giving back with the 24th Annual Turkey Giveaway, providing 1,700 turkeys to families in need.
More on the turkey giveaway:
This cherished event brings holiday joy to the community, ensuring everyone has the chance to enjoy a warm meal.
We would like to give special recognition to Calpine, our steadfast partner in this effort. Not only do they help fund the event, but they also send manpower every year to ensure these turkeys reach families in need—a monumental task that wouldn’t be possible without their dedication.
“Though I’ll be retiring this year, this event has always been close to my heart,” said Supervisor Glover. “I’m deeply grateful to Calpine, all of our dedicated partners, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this year’s giveaway a success.”
Supervisor Glover remains committed to fostering Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access (DEIA) throughout Contra Costa County. Thank you to all who joined us in building a stronger, more compassionate community.
Warm regards,
The Office of Supervisor Federal D. Glover
