At around 3:30 pm Tuesday, the Pittsburg Police Department responded to a report of a person wounded in a shooting in the City of Pittsburg.
The shooting occurred near Starbucks at Buchanan Road at Loveridge where the victim was located in the parking lot near Starbucks. At least one person was shot in the abdomen.
According to preliminary information, this appears to be related to road rage with the suspect vehicle headed in the direction of the City of Antioch. The shooting is believed to have occurred in the intersection at Loveridge and Buchanan with possibly as many as 3 shots fired.
No other information was available as Pittsburg Police were still working the incident.
UPDATE:
The gunshot victim was the passenger in the victim vehicle.
The suspect vehicle was described as a white Toyota Camry, 4-door, believed to be 2020 or newer. The driver, and shooter, was described as a black male wearing sunglasses and a plaid shirt and in his 30’s.
PITTSBURG POLICE UPDATE
At approximately 1530hrs, Pittsburg Officers responded to the area of Buchanan Rd and Loveridge Rd for a report of a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located the adult male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound.
During the initial investigation, it is believed the shooting was a result of a road rage incident on eastbound Buchanan Rd near Loveridge Rd. The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
Officers are continuing to gather more information from witnesses, surveillance cameras in the area and following up on leads.
