At 4:30 pm Sunday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a 2-alarm house fire in the City of Antioch.
According to preliminary information, smoke and flames were reported by a vehicle driving by which quickly became a fully involved home on fire in the 1800 block of Crestwood Drive at E 18th Street.
Crews on scene arrived where they stated a second home was on fire and requested a 2nd alarm response along with live wires down across the roadway.
By 4:48 pm, it was confirmed there was extension to a second home which reached the attic according to units on scene. It was later confirmed the fire did not make it inside the second home.
UPDATE
As of 5:00 pm, the house fire was reported out. The Antioch Police Department was also on scene providing traffic control.
