Brentwood, CA – This holiday season, East County Performing Arts Center (ECPAC) invites you to a sparkling celebration of 20 years of The Nutcracker.
Presented in partnership with the East County Performing Arts Foundation, this enchanting production will take place December 20-22 at the Allen E. Jones Theater at Liberty High School in Brentwood. A portion of ticket sales will support the Foundation’s mission of providing college scholarships to graduating seniors in the performing arts.
The Nutcracker is a timeless holiday classic that has delighted audiences for over a century. From the magical Land of Snow to the whimsical Kingdom of Sweets, this beloved ballet follows Clara’s journey as her Nutcracker Prince battles the Mouse Queen and their journey through a world of wonder. Tchaikovsky’s iconic score, paired with stunning choreography and dazzling costumes, makes this production a must-see event for families and ballet enthusiasts alike.
This year’s 20th-anniversary production offers even more to celebrate. Alumni dancers will make special cameo appearances, and a festive reunion will bring together cast members from the past two decades. True to ECPAC’s tradition of innovation, this year’s show introduces an exciting new character and fresh twists on the classic story, while ensuring the tale remains cohesive, heartwarming, and true to its holiday traditions.
