The San Pablo Police Department reported a woman was arrested after threatening fast food employees over missing french fries–now known as the “french fry felon”.
Police said that on December 5, Swing Shift Officers responded to a call at a local fast food restaurant. An employee called 9-1-1 because an unhappy customer was mad about french fries missing from her order. The customer sent her young kids inside to express her concerns to the employee.
The kids were told to send their mom inside with the receipt and they’d happily take care of the issue.
The mother returned in a “hangry” state and began threatening to attack several employees, telling them she had a gun in her purse. Officers arrived shortly after and spoke to the woman. She told them there was indeed a loaded pistol in her purse, which she was having her 9 year-old daughter hold. The daughter handed the purse to officers and they were able to render the gun safe.
Police said officers arrested the mother for criminal threats with a firearm and child endangerment. The father was called and picked up the kids.
