San Pablo Police: “The French Fry Felon”

The San Pablo Police Department reported a woman was arrested after threatening fast food employees over missing french fries–now known as the “french fry felon”.

Swing Shift Officers responded to a call at a local fast food restaurant. An employee called 9-1-1 because an unhappy customer was mad about french fries missing from her order. The customer sent her young kids inside to express her concerns to the employee.

The kids were told to send their mom inside with the receipt and they’d happily take care of the issue.

The mother returned in a “hangry” state and began threatening to attack several employees, telling them she had a gun in her purse. Officers arrived shortly after and spoke to the woman. She told them there was indeed a loaded pistol in her purse, which she was having her 9 year-old daughter hold. The daughter handed the purse to officers and they were able to render the gun safe.

Police said officers arrested the mother for criminal threats with a firearm and child endangerment. The father was called and picked up the kids.

“Needless to say, the woman was booked into county jail on several felonies. She had to wait even longer for her food, which unfortunately was a sandwich and milk rather than a hamburger and fries,” said police.
The San Pablo Police Department did not release any other information on the incident and did not identify the “french fry felon” arrested in their release.
Also on December 5, in a separate incident, San Pablo Police say they arrested two felons who were in possession of a firearm along with methamphetamine and a drug pipe in their possession. Both men were arrested and booked into our jail on various charges.
