The City of Concord has announced that Blue Oak Square has created an “Interest List” for their 181 units of brand new affordable rental homes located at 2400 Willow Pass Road.
The city says construction is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2025. Individuals who sign up for the list will receive periodic updates via email and an electronic invitation to complete an application when it becomes available.

Blue Oak Square Apartments
Blue Oak Square is a seven-story, 181-unit affordable housing community that provides a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartment homes for individuals and family households earning between 30% and 70% of the area median income. Apartments are expected to be available for first occupancy in late 2025. Please check back here often for progress updates. Please, define “affordable”.
If it’s “affordable” for people earning 30-70% of county median income ($125,000) it ain’ta gonna be affordable for anyone earning under $40,000- $87,000/year.
Believe it or not, there are folks like that around here who earn too much qualify for Section 8, too.
