This week, Barnes & Noble announced its grand opening at The Streets of Brentwood has been delayed until January 29, 2025.
The delay was announced back on November 9, but this week they offered a firm grand opening date of January 29 while stating they would have a ribbon cutting ceremony. Here is what was posted:
GRAND OPENING UPDATE: Evelyn Skye will be joining us for our grand opening celebration on January 29th! Not only will she be cutting the ribbon on our brand new store, she will be signing copies of her new book from 10am-12pm. We hope you’ll join us.
Barnes & Noble announced back in January they were closing their City of Antioch location at Slatten Ranch and would be moving to The Streets of Brentwood in the old REI space. The company announced in June it anticipated opening in September, however, on October 11, they said the opening has been moved to December. It will also look similar to the Walnut Creek location. The employees will also be re-located to the new store.
The Streets of Brentwood recently announced it has transitioned to new ownership. CenterCal Properties, LLC, a prominent developer known for its vibrant retail and entertainment destinations, is now the owner of the center.
