Suspected DUI Driver Crashes into Yard of Oakley Fire Station

On Friday, a suspected DUI driver crashed into the front yard of Contra Costa County Fire Station 93 in the City of Oakley.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:40 pm at O’Hara and La Vina Way when a adult male failed to navigate a turn and  jumping the curb while coming to a stop on the front yard of Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Station 93.

While Oakley Police were responding, the driver was out of the vehicle and was in a physical with multiple other subjects. It turned out relatives of the mans girlfriend who were assaulting him for crashing a family members vehicle. All subjects were known to each other.

The male was taken into custody without incident while alcohol was located inside the vehicle. No other information was provided by Oakley Police.

Aside from vegetation damage and tire mark tracks, there was no damages to the fire district property and no injuries. AMR was also on scene while firefighters from the station responded to the call after hearing the vehicle crash.  The suspect was not identified and no one else was taken into custody.

Prior to this call, Oakley Police were working a stolen vehicle incident at another location within the City of Oakley. Meanwhile Oakley Police was also set to assist the Antioch Police Department with its DUI Checkpoint.
