November 10th
- Commercial Burglary – 10078 San Pablo Ave. (Yoga Studio): At 9:41 AM, an officer reports a suspect shattered a glass door, entered the business, and stole property sometime overnight.
- Petty Theft – Moeser Ln. / Navellier St. At 10:52 AM, an officer reports a theft of license plates between 11/08/2024 at 4:52 PM and 11/09/2024 at 6:47 AM.
- Shoplift – 11450 San Pablo Ave. (Safeway): At 8:28 PM, an officer reports a subject stole merchandise and fled the store.
- Trespass – 11344 San Pablo Ave. (Denny’s): At 10:24 PM, an officer reports a subject refused to leave the business. The subject was placed under Citizen’s Arrest by store employees. The subject was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

- Grand Theft – Blake St. / Lexington Ave. At 11:57 AM, an AT&T employee reported a copper cable wire had been cut and removed from a power pole.
- Illegal use of Pepper Spray – 11821 San Pablo Avenue (McDonalds): At 9:28 AM, the victim reports that the suspect sprayed them with pepper spray during an argument. The suspect fled in a vehicle prior to police arrival.
November 13th
- Petty Theft – 3090 El Cerrito Plaza (Starbucks): At 9:54 AM, the victim reports that the front license plate to their vehicle was stolen.
- Grand Theft – Junction Ave. / Knott Ave. At 2:52 PM, an AT&T employee reported that 20 feet of copper cable wire was stolen from a power pole.
- Warrant Arrest – San Mateo St. / Central Ave. At 10:10 PM, officers conducted a pedestrian stop. A records check of the subject found the subject to have and active warrant. The subject was arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department, an then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
November 14th
- Vandalism / Theft / Trespassing – 1400 block of S. 56th St. At 12:04 PM, the victim reports a suspect broke into their gated carport and stole their electric bicycle between 11/08/2024 at 7:00 PM to 11/09/2024 at 10:00 AM.
- Vandalism – 11700 block of San Pablo Ave. At 8:58 AM, the victim reported that their vehicle’s tire was slashed sometime on 11/11/2024.
- Shoplifting – 10012 San Pablo Ave. (Pin-n-Pac Liquors): At 2:31 PM, the suspect stole a bottle of liquor and fled on foot prior to police arrival.
- Battery – 11450 San Pablo Ave. (Safeway): At 4:07 PM, a suspect threw a small glass bottle at an employee, hitting the employee in their eye. The suspect fled prior to police arrival.
- Battery – 11700 Block of San Pablo Ave. At 11:42 PM, two subjects were in a physical altercation. Both subjects refused to press charges. The report will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.
- Robbery – 3160 Carlson Blvd. (Grand Gas): At 4:30 AM, four suspects shattered the window of the business and stole items. The suspects fled prior to police arrival.
November 15th
- Prowling – 400 Block of Clayton Ave. At 11:50 PM, officers responded to a residence on a report of a subject in the caller’s backyard. Officers checked several backyards and did not locate the subject.
November 16th
- Driving Under the Influence – Parking lot of 8000 El Cerrito Plaza (Macaroni Grill): At 8:05 PM, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop. During the DUI investigation, officers found the driver to be under the influence. The driver was arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department, and released with a citation to a sober friend.
November 17th
- Vandalism – 10100 Block of San Pablo Ave. At 4:40 AM, an officer reports unknown suspect(s) shattered the window of the front door of the business.
November 18th
- Theft – 1400 Block of Arlington Blvd. At 8:09 AM, an officer reports a suspect stole a front license plate from a vehicle.
- Theft – 300 Block of Victoria St. At 11:43 AM, an officer reports a suspect stole a bicycle from the backyard of a residence.
- Grand Theft – Waldo Ave. / Everett St. At 1:54 AM, an officer reports a suspect stole 30 feet of copper wire from a telephone pole.
November 19th
- Theft – Waldo Ave. / Norvell St. At 9:38 AM, an AT&T worker reported cable wires were cut and stolen from a telephone pole.
- Auto Burglary – 10900 block of San Pablo Ave. At 10:35 AM the victim reported that sometime last night, a suspect shattered a window to their vehicle and stole items.
- Robbery – 1000 El Cerrito Plaza (Lucky): At 9:57 PM, a suspect assaulted the security guard as they stole items from the business. The suspect fled prior to police arrival.
- Warrant Arrest – 11800 Block of San Pablo Ave. At 1:20 AM, officers conducted a suspicious vehicle check and found the driver to have an outstanding warrant. The driver was arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
November 20th
- Attempted Theft – 300 block of Ashbury Ave. At 11:37 AM, an AT&T employee reported a suspect damaged copper wires from a pole in an attempt to steal the wires.
- Stolen Vehicle – 11800 block of San Pablo Ave. At 12:56 PM, the victim reported that their vehicle was stolen sometime last night.
- Attempted Theft – Fairmount Ave. / Albemarle St. At 2:34 PM, an AT&T employee reported that a suspect damaged copper wires from a pole in an attempt to steal the wires.
November 21st
- Shoplifting – 670 El Cerrito Plaza (CVS): At 7:28 PM, a suspect stole items from the store and fled prior to police arrival.

- Grand Theft – 5500 Block of Zara Ave. At 4:31 AM, officers responded to the area for a report of several suspects tampering with a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers discovered the suspects stole the wheels to the victim’s vehicle.
November 24th
- Theft from Vehicle – 3100 Block of Yosemite Ave. At 7:53 PM, an officer reports a suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole property.

- Commercial Burglary – 11299 San Pablo Ave. At 6:35 AM, an officer reports the suspect(s) forced entry into the business and stole property. The suspects fled prior to police arrival.
- Commercial Burglary – 11775 San Pablo Ave. At 10:30 AM, a victim reported that earlier this morning the suspects forced entry into the business and stole property.
- Shoplifting – El Cerrito Plaza: At 4:35 PM, officers arrested a suspect who was stealing items from the business. The suspect was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released with a citation.
- Shoplifting – 670 El Cerrito Plaza (CVS): At 8:20 PM, officers arrested a suspect who was stealing items from the business. The suspect was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released with a citation.

November 27th
- Robbery / Resisting Arrest – 11450 San Pablo Ave. (Safeway): At 4:00 PM, a suspect stole an item from Safeway and assaulted a security guard in the process. Upon officers arrival, the suspect attempted to walk away from officers and resisted arrest. The suspect was taken into custody, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
- Shoplifting – 670 El Cerrito Plaza (CVS): At 7:19 PM, officers arrested a suspect for stealing items from the business. The subject was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
- Stolen Vehicle – 2300 Block of Alva Ave. At 11:46 PM, the victim reports their vehicle was stolen.
November 28th
- Organized Retail Theft – 1000 El Cerrito Plaza (Lucky): At 9:34 AM, two suspects stole miscellaneous items from the store and fled prior to police arrival.
November 29th
- Vandalism – 10598 San Pablo Ave. (Baskin Robbins): At 9:35 AM, an officer reports subjects damaged the front and side windows of the business with BB guns sometime overnight.
- Battery – 11450 San Pablo Ave. (Safeway): At 10:45 AM, a suspect threw a coffee cup near a Starbucks employee during an argument. The suspect was escorted out of the store by security.
- Warrant Arrest – Potrero Ave. / San Pablo Ave. At 12:40 PM, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop of a subject. A records check found the subject had an active warrant. The subject was arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
- Shoplift – 670 El Cerrito Plaza (CVS): At 1:52 PM, a suspect stole merchandise and fled prior to police arrival.
November 30th
- Criminal Threats – Terrace Dr. / Shevlin Dr. At 6:12 PM, a suspect said criminal threats towards the victim.
- Trespassing – Knott Ave. / Junction Ave. At 9:25 PM, officers arrested a subject who was trespassing. The subject was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
December 1st
- Grand Theft / Fraud – 225 El Cerrito Plaza (Trader Joe’s): At 7:40 PM, a victim reports a suspect stole their phone and wallet prior to police arrival. The suspect later used the victim’s credit card to purchase items.
- Shoplifting – 11545 San Pablo Ave. (Ross): At 8:44 PM, a suspect stole merchandise and fled the area prior to police arrival.
- Organized Retail Theft – 11565 San Pablo Ave. (Walgreens): At 9:32 PM, multiple suspects stole merchandise and fled prior to police arrival.
December 2nd
- Tampering with a Vehicle – 5700 Block of Barrett Ave. At 12:20 PM, an officer reports a suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and rummaged through the vehicle’s interior. The victim reported no property was lost.
December 3rd
- Robbery – 700 Block of Richmond St. At 10:52 AM, a suspect approached and brandished a firearm at the victim. The suspect stole property from the victim and fled prior to officers arrival.
December 4th
- Stolen Vehicle – 600 Block of Lexington Ave. At 11:08 AM, an officer reports a suspect stole the victim’s vehicle.
- Theft – 700 Block of Elm St. At 12:08 PM, an officer reports a suspect stole property from the victim’s driveway.
December 5th
- Identity Theft – 1700 Block of Liberty St. At 8:42 AM, the victim reports a suspect used their information to make several purchases.
December 6th
- Stolen Vehicle – 2000 Block of Junction Ave. At 1:51 AM, an officer reports a suspect stole the victim’s vehicle.
- Robbery / Conspiracy – S. 53rd St. / School St. At 11:21 AM, officers reported a victim had their money taken by a group of juveniles. Officers located two of the juveniles who were identified during an in-field show-up. The juveniles were booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to Juvenile Hall.
- Grand Theft – 6500 block of Potrero Ave. At 1:26 PM, an officer reports the theft of copper wire.
December 7th
- Driving Under the Influence / Possession of Brass Knuckles – Liberty St. / Key Blvd. At 8:55PM, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop. During the DUI investigation, officers found the driver to be driving under the influence. During a search incident to arrest, the driver was found to be in possession of brass knuckles. The driver was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released with a citation to a sober friend.
- Stolen Vehicle – 3200 block of Belmont Ave. At 11:17 AM, an officer reports a vehicle was stolen sometime overnight.
- Recovered Stolen Vehicle / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia / Felon in Possession of Ammo – Madison Ave. / San Pablo Ave. At 3:34 PM, officers located a stolen vehicle and conducted a high-risk traffic enforcement stop. Both occupants were taken into police custody. The suspects were booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility. The vehicle was released to the owner on scene.
December 8th
- Trespass – 11344 San Pablo Ave. (Denny’s): At 5:30 AM, officers responded to the business for an unwanted subject. Officers discovered the subject had returned to the business for the third time after being asked to leave by employees prior. The subject was placed under Citizen’s Arrest, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
- Driving Under the Influence – Portola Dr. / San Pablo Ave. At 1:59 AM, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop. During the DUI investigation, officers found the driver to be driving under the influence. The driver was arrested, booked at El Cerrito Police Department, and released with a citation to a sober relative.
- Petty Theft – 11400 block of San Pablo Ave. At 2:49 PM, a victim reports their license plate was stolen sometime overnight.
- Warrant Arrest / False Info to Officer / Possess Controlled Substance / Drug Paraphernalia – 670 El Cerrito Plaza (CVS): At 4:11 PM, an officer made a traffic enforcement stop. During the investigation, the passenger of the vehicle initially provided a false name but was eventually identified and found to have a warrant for their arrest. During a consent search of the vehicle, the officer located paraphernalia and a large amount of methamphetamine. Both the driver and passenger claimed joint ownership of all of the above. The driver was cited and later released. The passenger was cited, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martienz Detention Facility for the warrant.
December 9th
- Robbery / Conspiracy / Probation Violation – 11565 San Pablo Ave. (Walgreens):
At 3:56 PM, officers were dispatched to a report of six suspects stealing items from the shelves at Walgreens. Officers were notified of a suspect on the BART platforms. BART officers detained the suspect and was positively identified during an in-field show up. Further investigation found the suspect to be on probation. The suspect was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility. Merchandise belonging to Walgreens was recovered and returned.Grand Theft – 670 El Cerrito Plaza (CVS):
At 4:20 PM, a victim reports while inside shopping, their electronic bicycle was stolen from in front of CVS.Public Intoxication – 6000 El Cerrito Plaza (Marshalls):
At 6:15 PM, an officer reports a known subject was intoxicated and yelling at customers in front of the business. An officer contacted the subject and requested an ambulance to transfer the subject to the hospital for medical treatment. This case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review.Theft – 11565 San Pablo Ave. (Walgreens):
At 6:47 PM, an officer reports a suspect took items and left the store with the unpaid merchandise.
December 10th
- Auto Burglary – 11600 block of San Pablo Ave. At 7:11 AM, an officer reports suspects broke into two parked vehicles and stole miscellaneous items. The suspects fled prior to police arrival.
- Trespassing / Resisting Arrest / Warrant – 6060 Central Ave. (Nations): At 9:31 AM, Officers received a call of the suspect causing a disturbance inside Burger King. The suspect refused to leave the business, resisted arrest, and was later taken into custody. The suspect was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
- Organized Retail Theft Operation / Warrant / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – El Cerrito Plaza At 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM, El Cerrito Police conducted an organized retail theft operation to combat theft in the plaza. Officers thwarted five thefts in progress and arrested nine thieves coming out of stores. During the investigation, officers found two suspects to have outstanding warrants, while also in possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers arrested a group of suspects who attempted to flee in their vehicle. The vehicle was impounded, and the suspects were booked at the El Cerrito Police Department before some of them being transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
December 11th
- Battery – 10344 San Pablo Ave. (Norge Cleaners): At 3:38 PM, the victim reports that during an argument, the suspect punched the victim in the face and fled.
- Grand Theft – 3300 block of Santa Clara Ave. At 3:31 PM, the victim reports that their catalytic converter was stolen sometime last night.
December 12th
- Grand Theft – 6500 block of Potrero Ave. At 11:09 AM, the victim reported that the suspect stole copper wire.
- Shoplifting – 11060 San Pablo Ave. (Harbor Freight Tools) At 12:36 PM, an officer reports that a suspect stole miscellaneous items. The suspect fled prior to police arrival.
December 13th
- Trespassing – 11888 San Pablo Ave. (NUG): At 8:36 PM, an officer reports employees at the business heard loud noises coming from the roof area. Employees went outside to investigate the noise and located a subject on the roof. The subject fled the scene when employees attempted to detain the subject.
December 14th
- Vandalism – 6500 block of Schmidt Ln. At 1:24 PM, an officer reports a suspect vandalized the victim’s car while it was parked in the apartment parking lot sometime overnight.
- Warrant Arrest / Possession of a Controlled Substance – 1711 Eastshore Blvd. (Security Public Storage): At 7:02 PM, officers were dispatched to the business for a suspicious person. Upon arrival, officers contacted the subject and discovered the subject had two outstanding warrants for their arrest. During a search incident to arrest, the subject was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. The subject was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
