The Antioch Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting that left 53 casings in the roadway Monday night.
According to police, they confirmed there was a drive-by shooting in the 1000 block of St. Francis Drive. At approximately 6:37 PM, Antioch police dispatch received multiple 911 calls for shots being fired on St. Francis Drive near Contra Loma Blvd. Officers arrived and found approximately 53 expended shell casings in the roadway.
Officers canvassed the area, and no gunshot victims were located or have come forward at this time.
Three separate unoccupied vehicles in the parking lot to Peter Piper Donuts, located at 2719 Contra Loma Blvd, were struck by gunfire. In addition, the south side of the building belonging to the donut shop was also struck. Two additional parked and unoccupied vehicles were also struck by gunfire in the 1000 block of St. Francis Drive.
The officers at the scene were still processing and canvassing for additional evidence as of 11:00 pm.
