The Antioch Police Department investigators are searching for the driver behind a deadly hit-and-run collision.
On January 14 at approximately 6:08 p.m., Antioch Police officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run in the 3000 block of Wilbur Avenue. Callers reported that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle, which left the scene.
Officers and paramedics arrived and found the female victim unresponsive on the ground. Life-saving measures were attempted, but unfortunately, the victim died.
Traffic accident investigators were called to take over the investigation. This investigation is ongoing, and the cause of the collision has not yet been determined. The case is still in the preliminary stages, and the names of the parties involved are not being released at this time.
