The Pleasant Hill Police Department is investigating a vehicle crash that has left one person in major injuries after being ejected from a vehicle.
According to preliminary information, a two-vehicle rollover crash resulted in a female being ejected from a vehicle and unconscious in the roadway at Grayson and Taylor Blvd at 9:43 am on Monday. Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Battalion 1 arrived on scene confirming the two vehicle crash with one person sustaining a “major trauama” and CPR was in progress. Another person sustained mild-to-moderate injuries.
By 9:53 am, a second AMR unit was requested.
Pleasant Hill Police have not yet released any information on the incident.

The Pleasant Hill Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision at the intersection of Taylor Blvd and Grayson Rd. Traffic in the area was impacted during the investigation.
On January 27, 2025 at about 9:42 a.m., Pleasant Hill Police received several calls of a major injury collision where one of the involved vehicles overturned and was on its roof. Officers arrived and found that a black Kia sedan and a grey Kia minivan had collided in the intersection. The driver of the grey minivan sustained major injuries and passed away at a local hospital. The driver of the black sedan suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
The identity of the deceased driver is being withheld pending notification to their family.

As of 1:25 p.m. the roadway has been reopened.
